GET A GRIP ON BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

This summer, the Eagles Engineering Enrichment Program is offering boys entering the 7th and 8th grades, exposure to one engineering’s fastest-growing disciplines - biomedical engineering.
Students will perform experiments on heart rate as a function of different types of exercise and generate digital waveform data. They will learn about the biomedical engineering design process and work in teams of two to assemble an electrosurgery calibration device that has been designed for use in developing countries. They’ll also assemble defibrillator and ESU test kits. Students will be able to explain the operation of a simple d.c. circuit, and solder the components into a working circuit.
Enrollment in Eagles Engineering Enrichment is very limited. Please register early so you don’t miss out on this exciting and engaging summer camp opportunity.
IMPORTANT INFO
LOCATION: Eagles Engineering Enrichment is located on the St. Edward High School campus at 13500 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood. The students will have access to the state-of-the-art Lowe Pre-Engineering Center, including a robotics lab, engineering lab, and two technology labs.
CLOTHING: All participants should wear comfortable clothing, including tennis shoes.
INSURANCE: Each family is responsible for coverage under their own family medical insurance plan.
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to and from St. Edward High School is the responsibility of each family. We recommend car pools to meet transportation requirements.
TUITION: Tuition for Eagles Engineering Enrichment is $150. Enrollment is very limited. Please return the attached application to reserve your spot in the program. The $150 program tuition is due on or before June 5, 2010.
