Senior Brian Roddy has been named to the 2008 High School All-American, Academic First Team by Wrestling USA Magazine. In his high school career Roddy placed 6th in the state as a freshman, 2nd in the state as a sophomore, and captured a state championship the final two years. Roddy had a 127-20 record with 60 pins, all while maintaining a 3.8 GPA. Moreover, Roddy was nominated by his peers as one of the 4 nominees for Man of the Year Honors, and will continue his education and wrestling career at Northwestern University where he will join St. Edward wrestling alumni Keith Sulzer, Kyle Bertin, Ben Kuhar and assistant coach Ryan Bertin.
