Br. Peter Graham, St. Edward High School’s President, announced today that he will be stepping down from the school’s leadership role after the 2009-10 school year.  On July 1, 2010 he will assume the newly created position of Vice President for Mission Effectiveness.

During his eight-year tenure as president, Br. Peter led a $16 million capital campaign that yielded four new buildings, the renovations of all of the school’s classrooms, and the construction of a new athletic field and track.  He also led the launch of the innovative pre-engineering and entrepreneurship programs also offered at St. Edward High School

“It is with conflicting emotions that announce that next year will be my last as the president of St. Edward High School,” said Br. Peter.  “It is important now that I represent to the public the mission of the Brothers of Holy Cross and St. Edward High School, and I look forward to continue being part of this fine educational community.”

A Presidential Search Committee has been commissioned by the St. Edward Board of Trustees, and an announcement of Br. Peter Graham’s successor will be announced during the 2009-10 school year.

“I attribute my success to our students, faculty and administration, Board of Trustees, the Brothers of Holy Cross, my respected friends, advisors, the parents, and alumni,” said Br. Peter.  “The St. Edward family has enriched my life far beyond my expectations.  I thank everyone for the kindness and graciousness, which have been given to me.  My commitment to this school and its Mission is unwavering.”
